From the

Superintendent

Dr. Andrea Guerrero

I’m excited to help tell the Waverly story, and I have every intention of telling it at full volume.

If I know anything, I know that the time our kids spend in Waverly Schools is fleeting but that the stories they write as they pass this way are remarkable. We’re going to be capturing some of those stories over the next several years and sharing them with you in this new quarterly magazine, funded by a special community partnership grant with no cost whatsoever to our local taxpayers.

We have so much to be proud of and thankful for here at Waverly 6. We’ve got hardworking students, a talented faculty and staff, supportive parents, a committed group of community volunteers, and the good fortune of a family and community engagement program that not only brings us together, but which provides enrichment opportunities for our young people. I am immensely proud to be working alongside these professional educators and dedicated staff members on behalf of this community. Though I’ve been in my role here for less than 2-years, I’ve seen enormous growth in our students, during that time, and am in awe of their progress.

After the challenges we all navigated over the last several years, we have emerged as a community facing forward, and moving positively into our collective future together. We are helping our students make the most of every opportunity, share a common pride in our school, along with a desire to make new memories worth keeping.

As we move together as a community, I invite you to follow our story. If you’d like to learn more about what we’re doing in your schools, or if you’d like to join us in a volunteer or mentoring role, please feel free to reach out.
